ReStore accepts donations of new or gently used furniture, appliances, home goods, building materials, and more. We offer free donation pick-up, paid priority pick-up, and drop-off of approved items. Review our donation criteria then schedule a pick-up or plan your drop-off.
accepted items
ReStore accepts donations of new and gently used household items and building materials. Donations are tax-deductible and support Habitat for Humanity of Greater Pittsburgh.
appliances: Refrigerators, Freezers, Ranges, Washers, Dryers.
furniture: Couches, Dining Sets, Dressers, Bookshelves, End Tables.
building materials: Plywood, Trim, Block, Fencing (preferably new or excellent condition).
home decor: Picture Frames, Dishes, Art, Artificial Plants, etc.
cabinets: Kitchen, Bathroom (preferably with base cabinets).
large quantity: Excess Inventory, Returned Items, Discontinued Products, Scratched and Dented Merchandise.
lighting: Chandeliers, desk lamp, floor lamps.
hardware: Hinges, Doorknobs, Nails, Fasteners, Electrical, Cabinet Pulls (retail packaging, no jars).
plumbing: Low-flow toilets (new only), sinks, tubs & showers (new only).
flooring: Tile, Laminate Plank, Roll Linoleum (new only), Carpet Tile, Hardwood. (job lot quantities preferred)
windows: Double Hung, Picture, Bay (complete with all sashes, no broken parts).
unaccepted items
We do not accept items that are not working order; have missing hardware or broken parts; deep scratches, chips or cracks; fabric with stains, tears or strong odors; pet hair or stains; or other major damage. We do not accept donations of the following items:

Leaving unapproved or unwanted items at ReStore is against the law—you will be responsible for removing said items and may be fined. For recycling options, check with your municipality or visit Earth911.com.

drop-off
9am - 3:30pm | Tuesday - Saturday
ReStore is open for donation drop-off during listed hours. Review our approved items and condition requirements beforehand. Items will be accepted at the discretion of the donation center attendant.
free
pick-up
Free pick-up available for donations of appliances, furniture, and other large approved items. Items must be disassembled and ready for pick-up outside the home or in a garage. Availability is typically within two weeks of scheduling.
paid priority
pick-up
Paid priority pick-ups are available through our trusted for-profit third-party*. Pick-ups available as soon as 1 business day. Items may still be assembled and in any condition, but only approved donations will be tax-deductible. Items can be picked-up in-home and from multiple floors.
*ReSupply is a for-profit third-party that provides donation delivery services to ReStore, Goodwill, Salvation Army, and other nonprofit stores across the United States.
